Poem from a Peaceful Black Woman

I got spray paint on my hands

A black power fist pick in my hair

Vaseline on my lips

And my soul is bare

A Tribe Called Quest in my ear

Electric Relaxation is one of my favorite songs

I eat meat damnit!

It makes me feel strong

Change is heavy on mind in these crucial times

Trying to paint a revolution

I love to dream

Thats where i find solutions

I dont express my feelings

I just write them down on paper

So if you want to know how truly i feel

Read them later

I have a fear of confrontation

But you should still fear confronting me

And i moved through constellations

To become the woman that you see

Im still on my way

I strive to be great

So if you can keep up

Lets date.. lol
